Sahay Health's 2030 goal, and where the work is today

Week 1
You walk the round.
Your first two weeks are in the districts, like everyone at Sahay. Walk Sunita’s round in Mohanlalganj with Ayo, and time every screen she touches.
With

30visits a day you watch logged
A health worker with 30 visits to log before dark has no time for a form that fights her.
11,000 ASHA workers in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar use Sahay to register pregnancies, track vaccinations and flag high-risk mothers. In September they logged 2.1 million visits, many on ₹7,000 phones, in Hindi and Bhojpuri, often with no signal.
Each visit still takes about four minutes to log. This role designs the tools they use at the door: registration in under a minute, a due list that reads at a glance in full sun, and flags a tired health worker cannot miss.
What changes because this job exists
How things work at Sahay Health today, and how they should look a year after you start.
BeforeRegistering a pregnancy took nine screens and a signal.
A year after you startRegistration takes three screens and works offline for 14 days.
BeforeThe due list was one long scroll, sorted by name.
A year after you startThe due list follows her walk: lane by lane, house by house.
BeforeA high-risk flag looked like every other notification.
A year after you startA high-risk mother is the first thing she sees, with what to do next.

Why this seat matters
“I do my visits by day and my entries by lamp at night. If Sahay were quicker, I would sleep before eleven.”
Sunita Devi, ASHA worker, Mohanlalganj
