The impact hiring landscape has undergone significant transformation in the past year. Our platform data, combined with surveys of both employers and talent, reveals a sector that is maturing rapidly while maintaining its distinctive mission-first culture.
Climate and energy roles dominate growth, driven by regulatory tailwinds and a surge in climate-tech venture funding. Companies in this sector posted 34% more roles than the previous year, with particular demand for ML engineers, policy analysts, and carbon market specialists.
AI ethics and safety continues its emergence as a distinct career path.
