Our mission
Flood warnings already exist. Most of them never reach the people standing in the water.
National agencies publish forecasts on websites, in English, hours late. In the fishing towns along the Gulf of Guinea, people find out from the tide.
Tidewell turns river gauge data into alerts that arrive by SMS, voice call and community radio, in Yoruba, Ijaw, Pidgin and English. In 2025 we tested alerts with a short local story attached, and three times as many households moved to higher ground. Every role we hire for makes one of those steps faster or more trusted.
